Job Description As a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Your responsibilities will include: Administering chemotherapy treatments and medications to patients in accordance with protocols Monitoring patients’ responses to treatments and collaborating with oncologists and healthcare teams Educating patients and their families about treatment plans, side effects, and self-care techniques Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients throughout their cancer journey Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation of treatments and interventions Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient-centered care Adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures Requirements To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) with intent to pursue BSN Active RN license in Colorado or compact state licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Oncology Nurse, including administering chemotherapy OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills to handle diverse patient needs Empathy, compassion, and excellent communication skills About Pagosa Springs, CO Nestled in the stunning San Juan Mountains, Pagosa Springs offers a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and a welcoming community.
