As part of our Optum engineering team, the Senior Software Engineer “ RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Developer designs, builds, and executes software robots or bots to work side by side with humans to increase business performance. The primary role of an RPA Developer is to investigate, analyze, and develop automation based on the business and/or company requirements. In addition, the engineer will work with the business teams and SME on process classification and viability. With every role at Optum, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This includes identifying and analyzing improvements, identifying internal and external process dependencies, and defining and communicating the conditions for technologies applied. In addition to these duties, solving the problems which arise and the day to day automation and redesign as needed is imperative to success as a RPA developer. Youll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Perform Proof of Concepts to help business recognize the efficacy of an automated solution Mapping processes and Data flow Deploy RPA components including bots, robots, development tools, code repositories and logging tools. Managing production RPA jobs, Producing metrics and Creation and maintenance of Solution documents Testing jobs and successfully migrating them to production, supporting business teams in testing activities Supporting the Project Manager concerning the openness of ongoing activities Supporting operational practices and enforcing transition criteria as part of a formal change management mechanism Case-Control, Management, and Distribution of Process Workloads Managing and researching exemptions (Business and System Exceptions) Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience on RPA tools and/or cognitive platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc. 2+ years of experience using programming languages such as C/C++, Python, VB Script, Ruby, Java, JS, .Net. 2+ years of experience using a scripting language such as javascript, HTML or similar language 2+ years of experience using the Agile development methodology Preferred Qualifications: UiPath RPA Developer certification 2+ years of experience designing technical specification documents for RPA Projects 2+ years of experience developing and consuming APIs 2+ years of experience with Databases (SQL or NoSQL) *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Groups Telecommuter Policy California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $88,000 to $173,200 annually.
