This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Digital Software Engineering, the Senior Software Engineering is a proven leader who will manage at least one digital software engineering team for Harley-Davidson across our Omni-channel initiatives. In this role you will: Develop high-quality, secure, scalable software code Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code Build re-usable components Perform unit testing (manual and automation) Optimize code performance Participate in code reviews Participate in agile, scrum ceremonies Support continuous improvements by recommending alternatives and keeping up with new technologies and trends You should have: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) – M.S. or other advanced degree preferred 5+ years of overall software development experience with at least 1 year of team leadership experience 3+ years of Web Development experience, particularly customer facing responsive web applications Strong experience with Javascript and TypeScript Extensive knowledge of building application using ReactJS. Strong experience with one or more object-oriented languages (Java, Node, etc.) Strong analytical skills, problem determination and debugging, attention to detail, teamwork and excellent communication skills Good working experience with relational and NoSQL databases Experience working within cloud-based environment (Azure, AWS) Experience integration services using NodeJS or Java. Good working experience with server technologies Working Knowledge of Microservice, Swagger and REST API . Knowledge of software development concepts/methodology/life-cycle, especially Agile methodology Proficiency with DevOps tools like Git, SVN, Maven, NPM, Gulp, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Docker, Kubernetes. Other Skills: Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap, jQuery, Angular, React, AJAX Working knowledge of building micro frontend Working knowledge of Search Technologies like Solr, Bloomreach ect.
