Position in this function works with the analytics and operations team on various projects, or continuing operations, requiring both automated and manual investigation of issues such as: membership, revenue reconciliation, claims processing and medical expense, and provider network If you are located in Hawaii or live in West Coast and willing to work the Hawaii time zone, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Create and modify operations and clinical recurring and ad-hoc data using Oracle, SQL Server, SSIS, and various Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as SMART Analytics, Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, or Tableau and Business Objects Collaborating with internal and external report owners to ensure reports are prepared timely, accurately and completely Works with and validates enrollment, claims, reimbursement and expense, provider and clinical data Evaluates and presents information in a manner that will facilitate management’s understanding of the results and impact Effectively gathers and analyzes data for trending, tying data to business operations and making recommendations for action Develop and manage data mining and data pulls from multiple data sources into designated SQL servers, Access, and Excel Analyzed data and created business reports, including design and development of multiple service management and regulatory reports and dashboards, utilized automated updates, dynamic charts, formulas, and parameterized reports Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. One year of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to one year of experience Required Qualifications: 6+ years of equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in collecting, analyzing and presenting data and recommendations to management Experience creating and presenting technical information verbally and in written form Experience in process/workflow documentation and ability to evaluate business processes and identify opportunities for improvement Solid proficiency in any of the following, Oracle queries, MS SQL server queries, stored procedures, database design, SSIS, and skills in writing Excel/Access VBA Solid proficiency in any of the following, Business Intelligence software and setting up reports from BI tools, including Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, or Tableau Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare experience within a managed care and / or hospital setting. Data analysis, cost management and trending experience Knowledge of clinical indicators, measures and terminology. ETL and SSIS knowledge Programming skills: SQL, C#, angular, java scripts, Snowflake Nevada or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada or Washington residents is $67,800 to $133,100 per year.
