SWBC is seeking a talented individual to create and maintain manual and automated test scripts in the applicable programming language. This role executes tests, detects problems, analyzes failures, and maintains the test environment. This individual demonstrates an ability to identify and solve problems within area of responsibility and contributes to defining test plans and test case reviews. Essential duties include the following: Creates and maintains test scripts in applicable programming or scripting language. Executes manual and automated tests, detects problems, analyzes failures, and maintains test environment using existing tools and Structured Query Language (SQL). Designs and creates test plans within area of responsibility assisting team members with test planning. Acts as an integral member of the team responsible for creation and maintenance of all project and test documentation. Assists others in areas of expertise. Provides mentorship to junior members of the team. Identifies areas where additional resources or guidance is required. Knows when to escalate issues. Executes tasks to meet or exceed delivery commitments. Significantly contributes to specification, test case, and test plan reviews. Participates in documentation, development, and improvement of processes and procedures. Proactively seeks out ways to improve technical and developmental skills. Performs all other duties as assigned. Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science field of study from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience required. Minimum of four (4) years of data management/ administration, preferable in a secured technical environment required. International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) certification preferred. Working knowledge of AS400, SQL, Java, C#, Postman, and Selenium Web Driver. Working knowledge of defect reporting tools and test management. Working knowledge of computer science, database, and quality assurance. Working knowledge of a set of industry standard testing tools. Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent multi-tasking skills. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work under limited supervision (self-motivation, self-initiative). Able to identify and isolate problems within area of responsibility. Able to solve moderate technical issues in one or more areas. Able to work through a full development lifecycle in area of responsibility. Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax. Able to type 35 WPM. Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane. Sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities. Stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
