Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field and three years related experience. Job Summary: To provide the technical skills and expertise required in developing and maintaining computer operating system software of the most complex nature. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field (equivalent years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree). At least 3 years or software testing experience; manual and automated testing processes. Must have expert knowledge of STLC techniques and working knowledge of various software programs. Experience with SQL and Oracle. Experience with object-oriented development in a language such as C#, C++ or Java. Job Duties: Responsible for designing test scenarios for software usability, running developed tests, and preparing reports on the effectiveness and defects to the development team. May also work with development team to develop and compose the software requirements document. Work with developers and clients throughout testing process to ensure complete testing cycles. Lead and prepare/review/execute test plans. Lead and prepare test cases, test scripts and test data. Assist in the review of business/software requirements and provide input. Report defects, assist in finding origin of defects and make recommendations for correction/improvement. Prepare and present test reports. Attain and retain expert knowledge of all departmental software. Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Working knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Performs related duties as required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to document and troubleshoot software defects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze and translate complex technical requirements into an application/implementation/unit/integration testing documentation. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and as needed. Salary Range: Actual salary commensurate with experience.
