Job Description: Calabrio is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build and support systems that ingest over 100 terabytes of data a day from millions of calls, chats, and emails across the globe. In this role, you will be responsible for building and supporting services that extend our platform’s compatibility with our customers telephony environments. About the Job: The most important activity within a business is its customer interactions, and there is a mountain of invaluable information hidden within these interactions. Your contributions in this role will be crucial in helping to maintain visibility into these critical customer interactions, empowering the users of Calabrio ONE to make fast, data-informed decisions that transform their business. What You’ll Be Doing: Ingest and store audio in the form of gRPC events, RESTful webhooks, or S3 objects from customers’ telephony environments As part of an event-driven architecture, contribute to a library of events representing customer touchpoints from a variety of Cloud and On Premise call center platforms Contribute to the development and support of a cloud-hosted SaaS application Partner with product, design, and engineering management to identify and build the right things, the right way to maximize the value we deliver to our customers. Support the development of a best-in-class engineering team by reinforcing engineering best practices through code reviews, solution design, and leading by example. Requirements: Must Haves: B.S. in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of relevant software development experience with expertise in at least one modern object oriented language such as Java, Kotlin, or C# Experience building scalable and reliable cloud-hosted SaaS solutions on AWS or other major cloud Experience building applications that serve and consume information over the internet using modern formats and protocols (JSON, gRPC, etc.) Demonstrated knowledge of modern software engineering and DevOps practices (security, coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing, and operations) Excellent written and verbal communication skills on both technical and non-technical topics.
