We have a position open for a Senior Software Engineer within the NYFIX Matching Engineering team. NYFIX Matching is an innovative product that enables investment managers and brokers to complete their post-trade processing immediately after trade execution. It uses the FIX protocol to achieve real-time performance and is provided to clients as SaaS. We are expanding the NYFIX Matching Engineering team to build on our success. This is a great opportunity to be part of a successful and growing close-knit team, and work on technologies that process thousands of FIX messages a second. The team works remotely. Most are based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Responsibilities Participate with other product stakeholders in roadmap discussions, requirements review, and Sprint meetings Own design, development, and unit and integration testing of new product features Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues Deploy new releases to the SaaS environment Research and implement technologies to scale the system as demands continue to grow Mentor junior team members. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of programming experience. BS in Computer Science, or a related degree. Experience with Java-based technologies: JEE, ActiveMQ, Spring, Hibernate Experience with databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc. Working knowledge of Linux systems Preferred Qualifications Experience in building web-based SaaS interfaces Experience with Agile Principles and methodologies Experience in financial technology, including FIX protocol Experience with document-oriented databases Experience in handling large volumes of data to generate analytics
