Johnson and Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Engineer Facilities Maintenance position located in Warsaw, Indiana. For more information, visit Ensures preventive maintenance of building utilities and machinery, manufacturing systems, and mechanical and electromechanical equipment and provides laboratory support. Creates and drives priorities and timelines for project completion while working to control costs and expenses and manage budgets. Presents finalized procedures in defined formats for document control and diligently verifies files and records for historical purposes. Be able to submit estimates of design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related expenses for budgetary purposes for projects or repairs. Provides criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes. Be able to conduct incident investigations and document outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Under all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position: · Ensure efficient delivery of site services, maintenance and utility operations, project delivery, move services, and all facilities operations, utilizing an effective balance of internal employees and service providers. · Support Facilities team on internal employees and service providers in decision-making processes that drive customer value. · Assist in developing capital budgets for internal and contracted resources; responsible for the project’s performance within the budget plan. · Ensure compliance with good commercial, laboratory, and manufacturing practices and other regulations. Where appropriate, serve as primary site liaison for EHS compliance. · Assist in implementing business continuity plans, Energy/Sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure management programs · Provide technical leadership for operating, repairing, and maintaining all utility systems. · Planned, scheduled, conducted, and coordinated detailed phases of facilities engineering work in significant facilities projects. · Perform root cause analysis for CAPAs and non-conformances related to Facilities. · Observe and ensure the Facilities teams follow all company procedures and policies, including Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability policies and regulations. · Build and coordinate external relationships with local, regional, and state governments for the site and community relations. · Support Facilities team that will deliver a high performance and continuous improvement culture driven by key performance indicators, metrics, benchmarking, and sharing of best practices. · Comply with all applicable quality management systems and environmental, safety, and occupational health policies. (for example, ISO 13485, ISO14001 & OSHAS18001). · Support the development procedures, protocols, and any other documentation needed to enhance or implement processes, following applicable procedures. · For those who supervise or manage staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable · Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures. · Performs other duties assigned as needed. Qualifications Education: University/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business is required Experience and Skills Required: Requires three to five (3-5) years of related work experience Strong background in Electrical/Fire systems Customer Relationship Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Site Governance/Operations The ability to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations Knowledge of Engineering Theoretical fundamentals and experimental techniques Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, EHSS, and other regulatory standard Knowledge of trades (e.g., HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.). Knowledge of National Codes (Federal and State). Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Knowledge of validation/qualifications Knowledge of reverse osmosis systems Knowledge of building management system The ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, technical procedures, and government regulations Project Management experience Contractor Management experience Basic understanding of the investigation process and methodologies Written and verbal communication skills The ability to collaborate with all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Preferred: Supervisory experience Adept in working in a matrix organization Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) An understanding of instrument calibration Knowledge of AutoCAD The employee is required to walk regularly The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds Must be mobile and able to transport him/herself between various sites/locations independently Knowledge of Maximo Maintenance Software is a plus Other: 10-20% domestic or international travel may be required Weekend travel, work, and participation in conference calls and meetings during late night/early morning hours may be required occasionally Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
