This incumbent will lead development resources, as well as influence other development teams, to identify level-of-effort to build tests for early-stage innovation initiatives, define and drive execution of proof-of-concept (POC) tests, to validate key assumptions, and create development plans for Alpha- and Beta-grade market engagements Initiatives will vary in nature from small visualization and limited prototypes, to full Minimum Viable Product (MVP) launches, with paying Beta engagements The incumbent will be responsible for clearly articulating the technical investment needed, and limitations associated with Beta projects, as projects are handed off to supporting product teams to scale, which includes aligning efforts of developers and supporting the efforts of the scrum leader Qualifications Degree(s) in Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Math or other quantitative fields 2-5 years of experience in data science, data visualization, and/or predictive modeling Demonstrated ability to lead and execute projects from start to finish Ability to independently support existing products Proven track record in modifying and applying advanced algorithms to address practical problems Experience in regression analysis, machine learning (SVM, GLM, boosting, random forest, etc.), graph models, and/or reinforcement learning. Expertise with open source tools for deep learning and machine learning technology such as Keras, tensorflow, pytorch, scikit-learn, pandas, etc. Proven ability to work independently on development of models with extremely large and complex data structures Proficient in more than one of Python, R, Java, C++, SQL or C Robust knowledge and experience with statistical methods Expertise in relational databases, data warehousing, data storage principles for handling big data Understands software development principles and operations Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and engineering results effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences A proven track record for executing complex data extraction and ETL projects Desired expertise with: Hadoop related technologies such as Map Reduce, Spark, Hive, HBase, etc. Visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, etc. Natural Language Processing, Natural Language Understanding, and the relevant open-source tools Bayesian statistical inference and related machine learning methods Agile methods for software development Additional Information Experian is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education.
