Job Description In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will assess Lakeshores security posture against industry best practices and recommend actions or initiatives for improvement. The position also requires exploring new technologies and interacting with vendors to ensure that the correct technology is deployed for the use case being evaluated. Applicants should have experience in cloud networking architecture and cloud operations. Experience as a cloud access security broker or in cloud security posture management is a plus. The ideal applicant also has an up-to-date understanding of a wide range of incident responses, system configurations and vulnerability management guidelines. A day in the office looks like this: Implement and manage security systems across our on-premises and cloud-based environments in accordance with our defined security and technology road map Provide security consulting on large projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy and standards Provide Amazon Web Services (AWS) subject matter expertise when collaborating on the design of secure solutions Assist IT with asset management efforts through the use of security tools, and lead efforts in hardening configurations across all network-connected devices Design and implement secure Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, with demonstrated understanding of AWS IAM policy design and their interactions with resources Conduct technical investigation of security-related incidents and post-incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies Participate in the development and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery protocols Remain up to date on the latest information technology trends and security standards Qualifications Got the skills and experience? Heres what were looking for: Bachelors degree (BA, BS) or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Security, Computer Science or related curriculum 3“5+ years of experience in cybersecurity as a practitioner required 2“3+ years of experience as a developer or systems administrator in an on-premises or cloud infrastructure environment required 1“2+ years of exposure to AWS required 1“2+ years of experience with web application firewalls (WAFs) required One or more Cloud Service Provider certifications preferred, including AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer or others Experience with managing layer 7 cybersecurity threats, including ability to understand and troubleshoot application-level logs, preferred Strong experience with agile methodologies and familiarity with Confluence and JIRA preferred Ability to design security-relevant infrastructure as code (IaC) Demonstrated scripting capabilities with modern languages, such as Python Experienced in the use of threat intelligence services in a production environment Understanding of industry best practices and frameworks that accelerate adoption; examples include NIST 800-53, PCI, CIS and CSA CCM frameworks Hands-on experience with assessing, implementing and managing third-party and Cloud Service Provider“supplied cloud security tools and services, such as Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP), Firewall and Network Security, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Vulnerability Management, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and Identity and Access Management (IAM) Familiarity with advanced Microsoft Office features for data analysis and presentation of findings Strong interpersonal, verbal presentation and written communication skills Additional Information And heres our end of the bargain!
