You will be a key technical leader within the organization, leveraging your extensive industry experience, to help guide decisions with a pragmatic and forward looking perspective, as weexpand our cloud footprint and modernize our architecture. As part of this approach you will engage with teams and have the opportunity to get your hands dirty in the code. WHAT YOULL BE DOING You will help to define and drive the technical vision of the Calabrio platform with emphasis on cloud enablement and technology modernization Ensuring proper architectural engagement in initiatives that stretch beyond incrementaldevelopment in our R&D teams to deliver solid outcomes and help advance the skillsets of ourorganization Providing technical leadership to our R&D teams for key architectural initiatives Developing architectural blueprints that address current-state challenges, while providing aroadmap to achieve a target future state that aligns with the business and product strategy Writing code for POCs and to help support teams on key architectural initiatives Evaluating the pros and cons of various architectural alternatives Advising management and other key stakeholders on matters of architecture and technical strategyPartnering with Product to initiate and provide technology evaluations and recommendations, including performing an essential role in evaluating Buy vs. Build, Cloud and other technologydecisions that affect the design process You will lead working group discussions across the organization to tackle key technical topics, whileaiming to drive consensus. Teaching and coaching others in the organization on architecture principles and standards Creating governance models and best practices in software development that include the use ofCI/CD, automation, quality engineering, cloud technologies and development modernization to improve productivity, velocity and agility in engineering teams EXPERIENCE WERE LOOKING FOR Strong people skills with proven experience leading teams, mediating technical disputes, influencing without authority and mentoring colleagues You have significant experience leading architectural refactoring and modernization efforts You have built cloud native applications and leveraged a plethora of cloud platform services Senior technologist with skill in developing in a number of different programming languages and platforms (Java and .Net are preferred) Experience in designing and implementing multiple customer-facing enterprise systems You have held production responsibilities or have a thorough understanding of the operational factors involved in running cloud workloads.
