Responsibilities ï‚§ Understand and apply plumbing engineering principles and fundamentals ï‚§ Understand and apply California Plumbing Code to projects ï‚§ Develop written narratives as needed for reports, studies, and/or project basis of design ï‚§ Perform site investigations for renovation projects to assess existing conditions ï‚§ Design domestic and industrial hot and cold water systems ï‚§ Design gravity and pumped sanitary waste, special waste, and storm drainage systems ï‚§ Design waste venting systems ï‚§ Design water treatment, conditioning, and purification systems ï‚§ Design compressed air systems ï‚§ Design vacuum systems ï‚§ Design specialty gas, bulk gas storage, and distribution systems ï‚§ Design fire protection systems including fire sprinkler and fire pump systems ï‚§ Design fuel gas piping systems ï‚§ Design fuel oil storage and distribution piping systems ï‚§ Interface with vendors to select and schedule plumbing system equipment and fixtures ï‚§ Review, coordinate and respond to agency plan review comments ï‚§ Perform construction services including submittal reviews, request for information responses, and job site visits to review/confirm the installation of plumbing systems Qualifications ï‚§ Plumbing-related experience in consulting engineering firm (5+ years) ï‚§ Proficient in Revit building information modeling (BIM) software ï‚§ Proficient in AutoCAD drawing production software ï‚§ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam ï‚§ Work experience in healthcare, laboratory, education, and infrastructure is a plus ï‚§ Associate/Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is preferred Qualities ï‚§ Organized, detail-oriented, and with strong written skills ï‚§ Ability to effectively communicate with owners, clients, agency officials, consultants, contractors, etc. ï‚§ Comfortable balancing multiple projects and responsibilities to meet scheduled deliverables ï‚§ Ability to work effectively and efficiently in independent or team environments ï‚§ Ability to coordinate design with multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical) ï‚§ Willing to assess design/construction issues and develop workable solutions ï‚§ Proactive and willing to take on new challenges Powered by JazzHR
