Viking Engineering and Development is looking for a Material Handler 

Summary/Objective The Material Handler organizes and delivers raw materials and finished goods to production work areas for processing using a Powered Industrial Truck. This position will also back fill as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. Primary Responsibilities Deliver and stage raw materials to be painted in a FIFO method for processing based on production schedule Deliver painted parts to designated bin locations Organize painted and raw materials throughout the production floor for accessibility and storage solutions Assist in moving any materials as needed or requested As production needs require, perform work in other production areas including but not limited to, band saw, machining, welding, assembly Perform all necessary computer inquiries Conduct daily activities according to documented quality system procedures and work instructions Identify and report non-conformities in product and quality system according to procedure And other duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience Minimum of two years’ experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts) Previous inventory and receiving experience High attention to detail Must be self-motivated and have a positive team attitude Must be able to work with limited supervision Must be flexible in work methods and incorporate feedback from co-workers in order to meet production needs Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Preferred Software Experience Epicor Kinetic Supervisory Responsibilities None Work Environment This job operates in an office/manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Will also be exposed to industrial equipment. Schedule is standard business hours. The position is based in Viking’s main office location. Travel No travel
