Position Title: Machining Process Engineer Reports To: Machining Process Manager POSITION SUMMARY: The Machining Process Engineer will manage the engineering planning and preparation activities necessary to launch new jobs and engineering changes. Support the release of machining processes, release of tools, release of machining devices. Also, has engineering responsibility for resolving process problems and improving facility safety, quality and productivity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Support the release of machining process designs by validating the specifications. Ensure products meet quoted cycle time, material usage, and requirements. Evaluate the impact of engineering changes in the pre-production + 6 months phase. Support in the development of new products and processes being launch to production. Implement process in additional production lines. Project transfer to plant for mass production. Train operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to run new process and equipment. Execute required prototype and pre-launch production runs. Adhere to tolerance guidelines, functionality, tool design, machine design, cell layout, and safety concerns. REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements) Must have a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or other related discipline required. Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing operation capacity. Must be proficient with CNC Programming, able to interpret technical drawings and geometrical tolerances. Must have working knowledge of technical drawing software, Hydraulic and pneumatic. Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, to establish root cause and implement sustainable corrective actions. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Outlook, and Word. Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage a variety or priorities. Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
