Role: Mac Support Engineer Location: Day 1 Onsite: Foster City, CA Experience: 8 Years Job Description: Key Requirement: Jamf 200 certification Description: The Mac Support Engineer will be a part of the Mac Product Team, working primarily with IT teams located in Foster City and the US, but also with other Global Teams, where needed. There will be a strong focus to provide support to executive and VIP employees using Mac computers and to the dedicated onsite VIP Support Team and local IT Support Teams. This individual should possess a strong mindset and capability to transition valuable knowledge and skills to Mac End Users and IT Support Teams, extending self-service resources where possible. Key Responsibilities: Be an integral member of the Mac Product Team and is present at daily team meetings, and other scheduled activities when required. Monitor tickets daily and able to close them efficiently in a timely manner Is highly collaborative with teams across different locations, using virtual channels provided Possesses excellent communication and troubleshooting skills Conducts Mac Product training and knowledge transition to IT Support teams Works with virtual teams across various global regions Provides onsite and remote support to Gilead Executives and VIPs Provides onsite and remote support to the Gilead IT VIP Support Team Ability to work under pressure and manage unexpected changes in expectations or requirements. Conducts Mac Product training and knowledge transition to IT Support teams Qualifications & Certifications 5 6 years of experience in an Enterprise Environment supporting 500+ Macs Apple Certifications, e.g., ACSP, macOS Support Essentials Jamf 200 certification Nice to Have: Experience using ServiceNow for handling Incidents and Service Requests Experience in Training and Knowledge Transition to IT Support Teams Jamf 300 certification Skills and Requirements: Able to demonstrate proficient and extensive experience in all of the following: Communicates confidently and effectively with Mac End Users Supporting Macs in an Enterprise Environment Provisioning and enrolling Macs using Jamf Pro Automated Device Enrollment and User Initiated enrollment workflows Erasing and reinstalling Mac computers Supporting Intel and Apple Silicon Mac Computers Using terminal effectively to manage and support Mac Computers Network Printing for Mac Computers Supporting macOS Big Sur and Monterey Managing Mac Computers using Jamf Pro (Cloud), including distribution of Jamf configuration profiles and policies Supporting Mac Applications, including Microsoft O365, Adobe Suite, App Store apps and other commonly used macOS Enterprise apps. Delivery of Training and Knowledge to IT Support Teams
