You will own end-to-end development and deployment of platform enabled, high scale, commercial grade, resilient web and mobile applications built on AWS. Role profile: 45% Frontend React and ReactNative, 45% Backend Services (in Node or Java) and 10% Technical Leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Hands-on frontend development in React and ReactNative Hands-on backend services development in Node (Express/Nest) or Java/Spring Boot Lead and mentor team members Work independently, take ownership and deliver quality product in a fast paced startup environment Design & Architect innovative and pragmatic solutions Help establish standards and best practices (through pair programming, code reviews, and general mentorship) Build and release production applications Perform performance and scalability analysis Implement integration and unit test coverage IDEALLY, YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH: 5+ years hands-on experience with React and JavaScript frameworks 5+ years hands-on experience with backend Node (or Java) based REST services 2+ years hands-on experience with ReactNative and Mobilr Apps 2+ years of leading a development team – code reviews, assist with release planning, delivery and deployment Experience with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or MSSQL would be beneficial, as would: Experience with developing and deploying applications in a cloud-native infrastructure (we use AWS + Docker) AND YOU’RE SOMEONE WHO IS: Preferred: B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering While much of this team works predominately remote (~80%), we collaborate in-person most Mondays at our Tempe office (20% hybrid) so you’ll need to be located in the greater Phoenix metro area Excellent communicator & critical thinker Self-starter who is willing to get their hands dirty Team player who is excited by rapid development cycles Benefits: Base Salary + Short & Long-Term Incentive Programs Medical/dental/vision plans Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) Catered lunch daily at the office 401K plan Diverse, inclusive, open, and transparent company culture Collaborative working environment with opportunities for career development Working for a company with a sustainability commitment In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
