Job Title: GIS Functional Consultant (GE Smallworld) Location: Minneapolis, MN or Denver, CO Technical/Functional Skills Experience in GIS related to the Utilities Industry experience, with at least 4 years of hands on skills in GE Smallworld suite of solutions. Experience of full-cycle implementation for a utility (Power/Gas) with hands on design, development and deployment experience in GE Smallworld. Conducting the functional workshops with business for GIS requirements Experience in supporting GE Smallworld applications in a 24X7 mode and coordinate with client and offshore team in getting the support incidents resolved. Experience in dealing with Incident management and Resolution software technologies like ServiceNow, Jira. Experience in GE Smallworld, GE Core, PNI, DM, SIAS, Network Viewer, SOM’s and PL/SQL and Smallworld data model. Experience in C, Core Java, Java Script, JSP, Servlets and PL SQL will be an advantage. Experience in configuring, customizing and resolving issues relating to GE Mapframe solution. Experience in Business Tier Technologies like Java Beans, EJB and Integration Tier Technologies like JDBC4.0, JNDI. Familiar with the latest technology trends in the GIS Industry relating to Electric Utilities. Familiarity with process integration of GIS with other utility enterprise and operational systems such as core WMIS. CIS, Synergee etc. Exposure to US (Regulated and De-Regulated) Markets Roles & Responsibilities: Application monitoring Incident & Problem management and Application Development Defect fixing, Implementation support Process/Application improvements Periodic reporting and tracking Customer interaction – clarifications with business/end users Analysis, business rules extraction from programs Review of production deliverables
