You will have the opportunity to own a meaningful, real-life project within the Engineering Department that can directly create a positive impact to Daikin Applied s HVAC Development You will join a world class team of professionals that fosters a great place to learn, and build your network Highly competitive Intern pay An opportunity to build relationships with other students beyond your department Essential Responsibilities: Work with assigned engineer to research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Design/test products or systems such as instruments, controls, fan coil, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems under the direction of assigned engineer. Work with fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems under the direction of assigned engineer. Qualifications: Requirements: Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering. Strong communication skills Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship Preferred: Experience with Solidworks, MATLAB, EES, or related CAD software Strong Excel acumen To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
