POSITION SUMMARY: A Supplier Quality Engineer III assesses product quality and ensure all products are free from defects and in compliance with engineering specifications. This position works to resolve quality issues and provide guidance on process enhancements and improvements. The responsibilities of this position include securing supplies and parts, reviewing engineering and manufacturing specifications, monitoring materials for any defects, and resolving quality issues. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supplier selection process and sustained supplier development activities including prototype, pre-production and production of our products and assemblies. Plan, coordinate and manage specific project deliverables attributable to production launch and ramp-up capacities collaboration with members of engineering, product quality and suppliers. Coordinate supplier site audits to assess and determine the technology fit of suppliers Review and implement risk mitigation plans for all critical parts – work closely with MPM, and Supply Chain Management. Support sustaining SQE to resolve quality issue concerns as needed Support and keep achieving higher score of Standardizes Supplier Quality Assessment (SSQA) WORK ENVIRONMENT: Location: Fort Collins, CO Environment: Standard office environment and in a manufacturing environment; some travel may be necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong motivation, autonomous and a highly driven individual Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with a team Proficient verbal communication, writing and negotiating skills EXPERIENCE: Essential: 6 – 8 years of experience in an engineering discipline. Experience with engineering tools in the management and analysis of data. Desirable: 6 sigma certification EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Material Science or related field experience COMPENSATION: As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the hires in the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $95,000 – $115,000. Information regarding additional benefits offered by Advanced Energy is provided below.
