Overview As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will work with a distributed team of security professionals whose responsibility is to ensure the data we collect and generate is secure from unauthorized access, and that our devices and systems are secure, resilient, and compliant. A successful candidate is one who can work in a multi-cloud environment, engages directly with software developers to understand their needs, and is capable in designing/implementing security systems and solutions that enable developers to operate more effectively, securely, and safely. This role will have direct influence and immediate impact on the security of customer facing solutions and will help the organization maintain and build upon regulatory compliance. Duties & Responsibilities Design/create and implement security defenses to prevent external attacks on cloud resources Design/implement proactive detections for common cloud security misconfigurations Work with partner teams to perform cloud security reviews, identify security gaps, and provide remediation options Investigate security detection alerts and reports; determine and implement remediation steps Assess vulnerabilities/risks that could affect the integrity, availability, or confidentiality of data, systems, or services in the cloud Troubleshoot, research the root cause of, and resolve security or risk issues with guidance Contribute to security metrics and associated process improvements Required Skills / Qualifications 3+ years of experience with AWS/Azure cloud security tooling and services 1+ years of experience in designing and implementing security processes and solutions in AWS/Azure cloud with topics ranging from architecture, governance, compliance, and operations 1+ years of experience with Systems Engineering/DevOps, IAM, network security, systems security, cryptography 1+ years of experience with cloud vulnerability management tooling, remediation, and processes Experience with coding/scripting in one or more languages (Python, C, C++, Java, Powershell, Rundeck) Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems Preferred Skills: 1+ years of experience with SAST/DAST/IAST tooling and CI/CD integration Experience with web application development Experience with containers, serverless, etc. Experience in architecting and delivering solutions using various cryptography processes/solutions Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Knowledge of industry standards including ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, etc. Industry standard certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CEH, CISM, AWS Certified Security, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Security certifications) ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
