Around 5,800 colleagues in more than 15 countries work for the Syntegon Group on intelligent and sustainable technologies for the pharmaceutical and food industries Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Primary objectives include driving the sales process from lead generation through order intake for all Syntegon Pharma Fill/Finish equipment. Also includes facilitating Syntegon resources to improve customer satisfaction. Conduct sales related activities between customers and the company to determine customer needs, engineering specifications, design modifications and other technical issues pertaining to products and services offered within the Syntegon portfolio. This position will be based in a home office within the Midwest or Western Region and will require a teamwork mindset. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Generate sales leads, which lead to quotations and order intake. Represent all aftermarket product lines: Field Service, Parts, Modernization and Training Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and prospects. Cultivate a technically competent and positive image so that customers gain confidence in Syntegon as a supplier and partner of choice. Develop and execute a regional sales strategy with input from key stakeholders. Initiate and build multiple contacts/relationships within customers organization. Develop deeper understanding of organizational structure. Be able to identify specific roles and decision makers. Work closely with customers representatives to understand and meet their requirements. Includes evaluating specifications, working with Syntegon resources (e.g. Application Engineers) and developing solutions. Consistent and effective use of CRM to disseminate meeting notes and potential project information to the organization including numerical data. Increase market knowledge by understanding the competitive situation and market intelligence (features, price points, USPs, strategies, etc.) and using the knowledge to provide feedback / input on competition and industry trends. Deliver customer satisfaction by providing assistance, support and consultation to the customer and Syntegon resources during the project cycle (sales, delivery, acceptance). Collaboration with the new equipment sales team to drive continued business with existing customers. Travel up to 50% of the time both domestically and internationally. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Bachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering, Science or a Business Related Field Must have a minimum of 2+ years of sales experience including previous territory management and customer relations within the capital equipment industry OR possess at least 2+ years of customer and technical skills gained working in a field service, technical helpdesk or project management capacity. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge or experience in the pharmaceutical liquid fill/finish or nutraceutical industry After Market Sales experience preferred Ability to work under pressure to execute moderate to high capital sales transactions.
