To perform routine accounting processes and HR roles: Essential Accounting Functions: 1 – Process daily mail 2 – Daily entries into Quickbooks which include, payables, deposits, withdrawals and other accounting transactions 3 – Reconcile Quickbooks accounts with banking statements 4 – Process financial reports to present to bankers, lenders and tax accountants 5 – Prepare end of the year reports and forms 6 – Report payables and cash flow on a weekly basis 7 – Process refunds, referral fees, financing applications and other client accounting needs 8 – Process lien waivers, and W9s as requested 9 – Factor and report prevailing wage hours and pay employees coordinating wages 10 – Read contractor contracts and process paperwork to secure commercial contracts 11 – Work with insurance company to ensure compliance requirements are met for coverage 12 – Some filing may be needed from time to time Essential HR Functions: 1 – Create new employee files 2 – Complete I9 paperwork 3 – Track holiday and vacation pay 4 – Enter payroll data on a biweekly basis and distribute payroll checks 5 – Handle & Process Worker’s Comp claims 6 – Handle & Process Unemployment claims 7 – Facilitate employee insurance programs and benefits Personal Qualities Needed: 1 – Attention to Detail 2 – Good Time Management 3 – Organized and Systematic 4 – Personable 5 – Able to Work Well with Others Work Environment: The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines Physical Demands: The Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
